Fantasy football picks: Week 4 MNF Steelers vs. Bengals

With another crazy Sunday full of random touchdowns, injuries, and disappointment, we have yet another great single game on tap! Our Monday night game for this week is between the Bengals and Steelers, with a solid 45 point total and some clear-cut top fantasy football picks!

Pittsburgh will be forced to continue playing backup Mason Rudolph, who has been far less than spectacular in his two starts. I will be taking a very obvious approach to this single game slate. Attacking the worse defense with the far better offense, and trying to mix in a few of the lower owned value plays. Don’t forget the most important thing about these single games, just have some fun with them. There is no reason to put big money on these, just lay down a couple of dollars, play a few lineups, grab yourself a white claw, and enjoy the most annoying day of the week in style.

With these single-game slates, we will want to focus more on game theory, and less on the actual plays. We have limited options, and everyone will be on the same guys because of this. So, we have to find a way to get different from the point bonus spot, in order to stand out. I will still talk about different players I like, but I will focus a lot on how to attack those bonus spots as well.

As reference, the main websites I used are Pro Football Reference, and Football Outsiders, along with RotoGrinders tools, you may see stats such as QBR (Total Quarterback Rating) DYAR (Defense-adjusted Yards Above Replacement) DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average), as well as some more common terms we all know, such as totals yards, touchdowns, interceptions, etc. Let’s dive in!
