Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5)

So tempted to pick the Broncos (0-4) here. Denver is a whisker from being 2-2, the Chargers (2-2) always blow games like this, and the stands will be packed with visiting fans. Ultimately, though, I wimped out and took the better team.

Pick: Los Angeles 23, Denver 20

Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys (-3.5)

Easily the best this week. The Cowboys (3-1) and Packers (3-1) might be the NFC’s two best teams, and whoever wins holds a critical tiebreaker. The injuries could decide this one, with Dallas missing left tackle Tyron Smith and Green Bay likely sans wide receiver Davonte Adams. This could come down to the final two minutes.

Pick: Dallas 24, Green Bay 21

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs (-11)

The line is far too high. Has anybody seen the Chiefs (4-0) defense? This screams backdoor cover. Still, the Colts (2-2) would need everything to go right for a win. Kansas City’s offense is absurd, the crowd at Arrowhead will be well-lubricated and rocking under the lights, and Indianapolis is dealing with major injuries.

Pick: Kansas City 38, Indianapolis 28

Cleveland Browns at San Francisco 49ers (-3.5)

The Browns (2-2) saved their hopes of a division title last weekend, and now hit primetime for the third time this season. The 49ers (3-0), though, have a few key advantages here. First, they had 15 days to prepare. Second, the Browns are on consecutive road weeks, and this is across the country. Tough chore.

Pick: San Francisco 27, Cleveland 22

Last Week: 6-9
Season: 36-26-1
