NLDS Game 2 between Dodgers and Nationals is all about the pitching

Game 2 of the NLDS will focus heavily on the Nationals and if Stephen Strasburg can go deep into the game after throwing in the NL Wild Card game.

The Nationals have been in “postseason mode” for the better part of the season, after having to recover from a 24-33 start to the season, grinding out games and pushing hard on their rotation to constantly throw six or seven innings a start.

The Dodgers are on the entirely opposite side of things, winning 107 games this season, Los Angeles had the NL West title clinched by early September. Having nearly a month to prepare and rest their players, the Dodgers have been able to position themselves for success better than most teams in the postseason.

That Nationals are already starting to feel the strain of having to fight to the end of the season to make the playoffs, having to use Max Scherzer and Friday’s projected starter Stephen Strasburg just to make it to this point. But with plenty of talking points in a crucial Game 2 of the NLDS, here are three things to look for in Friday night’s match-up.
