The Oakland Raiders put up a good performance against the Indianapolis Colts last week, and they have taken the momentum forward into a first half beating against the Chicago Bears in London.

Chicago Bears’ fans were giddy over the performance of backup quarterback Chase Daniel in last week’s victory over the Minnesota Vikings, but their enthusiasm was perhaps a bit too quick. Daniel and the Bears have been pushed all over the field by the Oakland Raiders, who have built a 17-0 lead at the half in London.

The Bears have managed to pick up only 42 yards of offense in the first half, with Daniel throwing a costly interception. The Oakland offense has had a field day against the Bears, with Derek Carr completing 12-of-15 passes for 109 yards and Josh Jacobs bull rushing defenders to the tune of 11 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown.

The Raiders have also done a good job keeping former teammate Khalil Mack from wrecking the game. Mack, who the Raiders traded to the Bears for a package of draft picks a year ago, has picked up just one tackle in the half and hasn’t come close to disrupting Oakland’s passing attack.

After a solid two week stretch of games, the Bears are now looking like a disaster without starter Mitchell Trubisky, which could lead to some intense panic in the Windy City. Chicago still has a half left to overcome the slow start, but their early performance against the Raiders isn’t inspiring too much confidence.
