Fantasy Football picks: Week 6 TNF Patriots vs. Giants

Well, I think that we can all say with a full boat of confidence that this week’s edition of Thursday Night Football, will be a real barn burner. The New England Patriots will be taking on the New York Giants, where the point total really does not matter. The Patriots will win this by a landslide, and if they were to lose, it would be one of the biggest upsets in the history of football. The Giants will be without their top three offensive weapons and have one of the worst defenses in the league. If you read my “bounce back” article last week, or my “FanDuel GPP picks” you would have noticed we target the Giants with several low-owned players. That does not mean we can’t find any value from New York, because believe me, there is more than enough for our fantasy football picks this game.

With these single-game slates, we will want to focus more on game theory, and less on the actual plays. We have limited options, and everyone will be on the same guys because of this. So, we have to find a way to get different from the point bonus spot, in order to stand out. I will still talk about different players I like, but I will focus a lot on how to attack those bonus spots as well.

As reference, the main websites I used are Pro Football Reference, and Football Outsiders, along with RotoGrinders tools, you may see stats such as QBR (Total Quarterback Rating) DYAR (Defense-adjusted Yards Above Replacement) DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average), as well as some more common terms we all know, such as totals yards, touchdowns, interceptions, etc. Let’s dive in!
