Early DraftKings college football picks October 12: Make money in Dallas

We have a little larger DraftKings college football slate on Saturday this week. DraftKings selected 12 games for the early DraftKings college football tournaments, and there are some really good ones in here.

More from DraftKings

Of course, the heavyweight bout is the Red River shootout at the Cotton Bowl. I will get there some day before God kicks me off this earth, even if it is only to the parking lot. Alabama-Texas A&M in College Station is a superb undercard.

Aside from that, we have Baylor trying to solve a puzzling Texas Tech team. Iowa State gets a crack at West Virginia. Maryland gets to take on a depleted Purdue team.

Despite the 12 games, there are a couple that I’m completely avoiding, or at least avoiding one side of. I have no interest in the Illinois offense against Michigan, the Georgia Tech offense against Duke, or either side of the Michigan State-Wisconsin tilt. There may be one exception, but I doubt it.

I missed on David Bell, but hit on Rhamondre Stevenson, but it still wasn’t enough for cash on a high scoring slate. I needed to work Chuba Hubbard and use Jett Duffey for value to make a significant line.

The scoring for DraftKings college football is much the same as it is for the NFL with one notable exception: the super flex! That means aside from the flex position which is RB/WR, you can add another player from any position! Want four running backs? Go right ahead! Five wide receivers? Sure! Two quarterbacks? Of course! Just stay under the salary cap!

The super flex replaces the defense, which is essential in college football. This is all about the offense. DraftKings college football scoring realizes that!
