Fans are eager to see a contest between Spence and fellow welterweight champion Terence Crawford. The winner of that bout would fully unify the division. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum stated on Oct. 8 via Twitter that he was hopeful Spence vs. Crawford would happen in 2020
