Week 7 was arguably the most anticipated weekend of college football in the 2019 season and it didn’t disappoint. What will the AP Top 25 look like?

Yet another exciting weekend of college football is in the books and the loaded slate didn’t disappoint and it’ll feature a few significant changes in the new AP Poll on Sunday afternoon.

A crazy weekend began with a Miami upset of No. 20 Virginia on Friday night followed by Oregon’s blowout of Colorado.

The Red River Rivalry kicked things off on Saturday afternoon and Oklahoma made a statement with the win over Texas. And, heck, the Sooners might be one of the most complete teams in the country, playing a little defense against the Longhorns to preserve a big victory. The Sooners had nine sacks and 15 tackles for loss in the win against Sam Ehlinger and Texas.

That set the stage for what would be the biggest upset of the day from Athens, Georgia. The South Carolina Gamecocks needed two overtimes to get it done, but Will Muschamp‘s team upended No. 3 Georgia. The Gamecocks had several chances to put away the Bulldogs throughout regulation and missed a field goal that would have won in the first overtime but won after Georgia missed their field goal in double overtime.

Georgia wasn’t the only undefeated SEC East team to fall in Week 7 as the Florida Gators fell 42-28 to the undefeated LSU Tigers in Tiger Stadium. It wasn’t a great day for the SEC East as their top two teams saw their College Football Playoff hopes take a significant blow.

A pair of top-10 teams flirted with a loss late in the fourth quarter but Notre Dame survived USC and Penn State outlasted Iowa to preserve the win. They’ll be moving up in the latest Top 25 while Georgia and Florida could fall out of the top 10 entirely. But we aren’t banking on AP voters showing an anti-SEC agenda for the first time in nearly 15 years so the SEC will have five teams in the top 10 despite two of those teams losing.

Alabama and Clemson had convincing wins and Ohio State was idle. But could LSU move past the Buckeyes for No. 3 with their 14-point home win vs. then-No. 7 Florida?

Let’s take a look at our college football rankings projections for Week 8’s AP Poll.
