It’s that time in the fantasy football season to assess your team and decide which players you should buy low, sell high or keep.

The fantasy football season is rolling along with week 6 just underway. The waiver claims have been processed, last-minute roster additions made and your starting lineup set. But, looking at your roster, there’s only so much you can change through the waiver wire. The level of talent on the waiver wire doesn’t compare to the talent your opponents have on their teams.

Depending on your league’s settings, you are still a couple of weeks away from the trade deadline. Regardless of your record, you can afford to make a trade to improve your team. If you’re 5-0 or 4-1, you still likely have a weak spot on your bench. If you’re 1-4 or 2-3, you need to make a big change to get back into the playoff race.

But, you don’t want to make a trade just for the sake of trading. It’s also important to know who to trade away and what value you can get back. That’s where this headline comes in. You need to know who to buy low, sell high or keep.

Look at your opponents’ teams, see what their biggest needs are and see if you can help them out. You may not want to help out an opposing team but if it helps you in the end, then it’s a win-win. Plus, you never know what can happen in real football. Injuries, game flow and even real life trades can affect the value of the player you’re sending away.

This piece will feature three players each at the running back, wide receiver and quarterback positions. Each position will have a buy low, sell high and keep option. The players listed will be owned in at least 50 percent of ESPN leagues. No sense in making a post about players who are not highly owned and are possible trade chips.

This is not set in stone. This is a guideline to help send out trade offers to your opponents and see what you can get back to help your team going forward.
