DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks October 17

We have our first really unbalanced round in the EuroLeague this week. There are six Thursday games for our DraftKings EuroLeague tournaments, leaving just three for Friday’s action. There is going to be a lot more separation on this DraftKings EuroLeague slate.

More from DraftKings

Out: Nemanja Nedovic, G, Milan; Shelvin Mack, G, Milan; Theo Maledon, G, Villeurbanne; Thomas Bray, G, Munich; Jayson Granger, G, Baskonia; Chris Kramer, G, Khimki; Joffrey Lauvergne, F, Fenerbahce; Arturas Gudaitis, F, Milan; Egor Vialtsev, F, Khimki.

Questionable: Stefan Jovic, G, Khimki; Nik Stauskas, G, Baskonia; Ergi Tirpanci, G, Fenerbahce; Omri Casspi, F, Tel Aviv; Adreian Payne, F, Villeuerbanne; Kosta Koufos, F, CSKA; Sergey Karasev, F, Khimki; Felipe Reyes, F, Real Madrid; Josh Huestis, F, Munich; Egehan Arna, F, Fenerbahce; Evgeny Valiev, F, Khimki; Nemanja Nenadic, F, Belgrade.

Since Casspi and Payne were out last week with just illnesses, I would think they are closer to probable than questionable. You could say the same for Felipe Reyes and Kosta Koufos, who traveled with their respective teams last week. Stauskas was on the active roster last week, so it seems likely he will make his 2019-20 debut this week.

Make sure to keep a close eye on these leading up to tip. We had instances last week where guys were listed as out ended up playing. This is just an early week glimpse as to who is still listed on the injury report. Since teams aren’t required to issue specific injury reports, it makes it a lot harder to speculate who will play or not since many injuries aren’t disclosed.

I ended up 13th with one of my DraftKings EuroLeague lineups on Friday. I was less than a point from the top five, so despite the good finish, it could have been better. I rode the hot streaks of Shengelia, Mirotic, and Sergio Rodriguez hard in that lineup.

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!

For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.
