DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks October 18

We only have three games for our Friday DraftKings EuroLeague tournaments. Most of the action was yesterday, taking with it a large chunk of the value. Where can we turn for a takedown here?

More from DraftKings

Value is most often opened up because of injuries, so let’s take a look at the injury report so far. The EuroLeague isn’t like the NBA. They don’t have to be as open about injuries, so sometimes random ones pop up just before tip.

Out: Marcus Eriksson, G, Berlin; Anton Pushkov, F, St. Petersburg; Joan Sastre, F, Valencia; Andrey Zubkov, F, St. Petersburg; Stefan Peno, G, Berlin.

Questionable: Gustavo Ayon, F, St. Petersburg; Cory Higgins, G, Barcelona; Pau Ribas, G, Barcelona; Kevin Pangos, G, Barcelona; Louis Labeyrie, F, Valencia; Rodrigue Beaubois, G, Efes; Fernando San Emeterio, F, Valencia; Jordan Loyd, G, Valencia; Johannes Thiemann, F, Berlin; Artem Pustovyi, F, Barcelona; Dmitry Khvostov, G, St. Petersburg; Aleksej Pokusevski, G, Olympiacos.

Ayon did play in a domestic league game this week, so he is expected to be available with a mask. Higgins and Beaubois were able to practice this week but are still game time calls. The Barcelona backcourt could be very thin or at full strength. The only one that seems unlikely is Pangos since he was supposed to be out several weeks from week 1.

I just missed the cash line yesterday on the backs of strong performances from Omri Casspi and Janis Timma, but James Gist and Deshaun Thomas were huge letdowns.

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!

For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.
