Norm Snead Division

17. Derek Carr (LW: 21)

Carr was uneven on Sunday. He missed throws downfield, and made all the throws he should have. He also turned the ball over twice at the goal line, including an ugly interception and a touchback when he fumbled reaching for the pylon. He’s an average quarterback, but moves up because of the nonsense behind him.

16. Kyler Murray (LW: 17)

Murray threw for 104 yards in the Cards’ win over the Giants. There was nothing particularly impressive, save for him not turning the ball over. Don’t think that’s a big deal? Ask fellow rookie Daniel Jones about that.

15. Teddy Bridgewater (LW: 18)

Bridgewater is the best story of the year. Coming in for Drew Brees, Bridgewater has notched five consecutive wins to put New Orleans at 6-1 and in first place of the NFC South. He’s largely managed the game in the Bayou, but what a job.

14. Carson Wentz (LW: 10)

Wentz had to fall somewhat significantly this week. The Eagles are a mess. Great quarterbacks elevate the tea around him. Can anybody say that’s happening with Wentz? Philadelphia needs more from the former No. 2 pick, who has been inconsistent and, at times, poor.

13. Jimmy Garoppolo (LW: 12)

Garoppolo is playing for the NFC’s only unbeaten team in the Niners. He’s been fine, but is the record overshadowing Garoppolo’s middling numbers? Seven touchdowns, six interceptions and few passing yards than Bridgewater.
