Fantasy football picks: Week 8 TNF Vikings vs. Redskins

Olabisi Johnson – I have to be very honest, I had no idea who this guy even was until I looked him up. Johnson appears as though he will be sliding into the number two role while Thielen is injured, and he did pretty well last week when Adam went down. He logged 71% of the snaps, getting eight targets, 40 yards, and a score. He is priced a little high for my liking, but still should garnish ownership after that good performance last week. It will be interesting to see if he runs any routes out of the slot, because that is one of the weakest points of this defense. Regardless, this is a good play with decent upside.

Jeremy Sprinkle – Sprinkle is going to be the starting tight end until Vernon Davis can return to action. He saw 79% of the snaps last week, which is pretty standard for a starting tight end. He has yet to return solid value, but any player getting a good amount of opportunities at that price point is someone we have to consider on a one game slate. The Vikings are also weaker against tight ends, ranking 12th in the league at points given up to them.

Dan Bailey – Our kicker of the day is Bailey. He has been pretty solid this season, missing two of his ten attempts, and only one extra points attempt. In the past four weeks, he had two games of more than ten points, with the other two just slightly under ten points. That 8-10 point range is about where I would like to be when playing a kicker, and he should hit that easily in what looks to be a high scoring affair.
