Matchday 10 of the Premier League is almost upon us and there are some great fixtures to look forward to. Here are five bold predictions for all the action.

Miraculously, as games seem to have come fast and furious, the Premier League is almost a third of the way through its season as we reach matchday 10 this weekend. As always, there are some brilliant fixtures to look forward to and we have some predictions for the action.

Newcastle host Wolves in a match that will be difficult but is winnable whilst Manchester United travel to Norwich in what could be an entertaining game between two teams struggling with consistency.

Crystal Palace face a tough trip away to Arsenal and Everton also have a tough test as they travel to Brighton on Saturday. The highlight of the weekend sees Liverpool host Tottenham in a game that is set to have it all. Here are five bold predictions for this weekend’s fixtures.

3. Everton continue revival with win at Brighton

Many thought that the end was nigh for Marco Silva at Everton considering the Toffees’ lackluster start to the Premier League season. Last week Silva’s side showed what they were all about as they outplayed West Ham in a 2-0 victory.

This result was important for Marco Silva in more ways than one as not only did his side win but they did so in a manner that would suggest they still believe in him. It’s very clear when players don’t want to play for a manager any more — think Manchester United before Mourinho left last season — but this certainly doesn’t seem to be the case at Everton.

The Toffees were fantastic last weekend although they were aided slightly by a lethargic performance from some of West Ham’s key players. Felipe Anderson, Sebastien Haller and Declan Rice all look off the pace and this made life much easier for Silva’s side.

This week, the Merseyside club may not have it so easy when they face off against Brighton on the south coast. The Seagulls went down 2-1 away to Aston Villa last week in an entertaining match.

Graham Potter’s side were outplaying Villa and deservedly went ahead in that match last week. But Aaron Mooy’s sending off let the Birmingham club back into the game and ultimately helped the Seagulls to defeat.

Mooy won’t be able to help rectify that situation this week as he’ll be suspended but Graham Potter will hope his side can put in a similar performance as they did in the opening half hour of that match last weekend.

Brighton are too inconsistent though and Everton are riding a minor high after last week’s victory. Marco Silva will make sure his players know that they are more than capable of winning this game and his side will take all three points in a 2-1 victory over the Seagulls.
