FanDuel NBA breakdown – Cash Core

Ja Morant (7,800) – This may seem like an unlikely player for a cash core, but I really like this Memphis team and Ja is the leader of this young squad. He leads the team in usage at 30%, with 1.14 FPM. He recently dropped 30 points in just 32 minutes, and is showcasing a versatile skill set which is a great sign this early on in his first season as a professional. This a great game to stack up, which is something I will talk about later, but Ja is an excellent mid-range option.

Jimmy Butler (9,000) – This will be the awaited debut for Jimmy, and what better spot for his first game of the year than against the Hawks. They are playing at a much slower pace than they were last season, but they are still a bad defensive team, that is just doing a decent job at disguising it early on. Jimmy is known for his ability to not only score, but he is also great at creating turnovers. He should lead this team in usage, since they are a very young team, and I think this is the perfect price tag for his first game.

Nikola Jokic (10,700) – The Joker is by far the best option at a depleted center position for this slate. To nobodies surprise, he leads the team in usage at 30.3%, and 1,41 FPM. Dallas is struggling in the center department, with Dwight Powell banged up. He should be able to have his way with Dallas, and in a game that should be pretty competitive, he is one of my favorite plays on the day.
