3. Philadelphia Eagles

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is not afraid to make big moves, and however surprisingly they do have some cap space in 2020 (just shy of $40.8 million right now, via Over the Cap).

Miles Sanders is a promising rookie back and will be back next year. But Jordan Howard is in the last year of his contract, and Darren Sproles seems sure to retire for good after the season. So their will be room on the running back depth chart in Philadelphia, and the Eagles should easily see themselves as a Super Bowl contender next year with plenty of talent returning.

The Eagles were mentioned in trade rumors regarding Bell as he sat out last season with the Steelers, but they were down the list of possible free agent suitors for him last offseason due to lack of cap space. A chunk of their space next year would go to Bell, but making a deal for him would not make them unable to address other needs (in the defensive secondary, most notably).

Bell could very well swap Jets’ green for Eagles’ green next March, perhaps for a player and a draft pick. If we know anything about Roseman as a deal maker, a deal for Bell can’t be ruled out.
