30 biggest college football scandals of all time

Jameis Winston, sexual assault allegations, and crab legs
At the conclusion of the 2013 college football season, the Florida State Seminoles sat on college football’s throne after defeating the Auburn Tigers in the final BCS championship game. FSU knocked down Auburn and star redshirt freshman quarterback Jameis Winston led the way.
But, back on Dec. 7, 2012, a woman filed a police report alleging that she was the victim of sexual battery. In January of 2013, that woman reportedly told police Winston was the suspect in that case.
And then the case sat dormant for a while. Winston was never charged in connection with the incident. FSU later reached a monumental settlement with the accuser and Winston ultimately did the same.
The scandal seemingly dominated headlines during Winston’s time in college. But, this wouldn’t be the last time Winston caught the public’s attention.
Though, the next scandal Winston was connected to during his time at FSU holds significantly less weight than the first. While at a grocery store in Florida, Winston apparently tried to leave the store without paying for crab legs and crawfish.
You can watch a video of it right here:
This scandal was notably less significant than the first, but it still drew plenty of attention towards Winston.
