With six teams on a bye and injuries piling up, the fantasy football waiver wire list features players from each position to help you in week 10.

Week 9 saw all of the home teams win, except for Thursday night and the London game. Christian McCaffrey continues to dominate. The 49ers are the only remaining undefeated team. For fantasy football, this was likely the make-or-break week for most owners.

With five weeks left until the fantasy playoffs, unless your league is different, trying to make the postseason may not be in this cards this year. But, if you are 5-4 or even 4-5, you may still be in the running. That’s why this week’s waiver wire post is important. Finding the right players to add off of waivers is a major key to success.

There are six teams on a bye week in week 10, the Broncos, Texans, Jaguars, Patriots, Eagles and Redskins. There are way too many fantasy-relevant players to list who will be unavailable to fantasy owners.

This week’s waiver wire post will be a little different. Because of the number of teams off and the lack of standout players that aren’t widely owned, we will be listing one player from each position including defense.

All five players will have ownership percentages under 50 percent based on ESPN leagues.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB

As the quarterback for the only undefeated team, it’s surprising that Garoppolo is as available as he is, as he is owned in just 33.5 percent of leagues. He had a great game to kick off Week 9 with 317 yards and four touchdowns, giving him 28.9 points.

Heading into Week 10, he and the 49ers face the Seahawks. The Seattle defense allowed the good Jameis Winston to show up, giving up 335 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Garoppolo is developing a great relationship with his new weapon Emmanuel Sanders. This is a great matchup for a potential bye-week replacement.

Jaylen Samuels, RB

Samuels started in place of the injured James Conner. While he didn’t look good rushing the ball, with eight carries for 10 yards, Samuels was very effective in the passing game. He caught 13 passes for 73 yards.

Conner’s status for Week 10 is unknown. The Steelers also had third-string running back Trey Edmunds suffer a rib injury. If Conner is inactive again, then Samuels has a good chance to get a lot of touches.

Samuels will face a Rams rushing defense that has allowed 18.9 points per game to opposing running backs. In a time where there are few valuable running backs on the waiver, Samuels stands out.

Hunter Renfrow, WR

Renfrow has had back-to-back great games, having a combined 10 receptions, 139 yards and two touchdowns. He and the rest of the Raiders offense have looked good since coming off their Week 6 bye.

While Tyrell Williams has been the top receiver in the first half of the season, Renfrow has been getting more targets. Plus, Darren Waller is still in the mix.

Renfrow will face a Chargers secondary that has allowed 20.1 fantasy points to wide receivers. They did a good job of shutting down the Packers offense with a returning Davante Adams. The matchup may not be as enticing or that could have been a one-week wonder for Los Angeles.

Mike Gesicki, TE

Gesicki was the fifth-highest scoring tight end in Week 9, not counting the two yet set to play on Monday night. He had his best game of his season thus far, with six receptions and 95 yards against the Jets.

The Dolphins picked up their first win and the offense looked good with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center. But, we’ve seen this story play out plenty of times in the past.

Gesicki gets matched up with the Colts defense who are allowing 8.5 points per game to opposing tight end. While DeVante Parker takes the outside, Gesicki should be able to rack up points across the middle. Preston Williams being out for the season helps his value too.

Ravens D/ST

In a surprising turn, the Ravens defense handled Tom Brady and the Patriots. They recorded an interception, recovered a fumble for a touchdown and sacked Brady twice on their way to 12 fantasy points.

The defense will get to feast again as they face the Bengals in Week 10. The Bengals decided to bench Andy Dalton for Ryan Finley. They will be without John Ross and A.J. Green is questionable to play this week.

The Ravens defense is available in 63 percent of leagues. That number will drastically go down in a couple of days. Make sure you get them.

If you are hanging on by a thread to your fantasy football playoff hopes, making a change may improve your chances. Or, if you have a few players on a bye week, these players will help you fill in the gaps. Either way, make sure you get one or two of these players on your team for Week 10.
