College football picks for every Top 25 game in college football this week, including the biggest SEC rivalry in the biggest game of the season

The game of the year is upon us as Tua Tagovailoa and Alabama face Joe Burrow and the LSU Tigers in what will be an instant classic in Bryant-Denny Stadium. LSU has its best chance in years to knock off the Crimson Tide who are aiming for revenge after a disappointing loss to Clemson last year. It will be interesting to monitor Tagovailoa’s health on Saturday.

How about the job Pj Fleck has done with the Minnesota Golden Gophers? Fleck has been rowing the boat all the way to a potential Big Ten championship game if they can knock off the Nittany Lions. Minnesota is finally relevant in the college football conversation and has a real chance of pulling off the upset.

Staying inside the Big Ten is a game between two schools who love to run what feels like 50 times between the tackles a game in Wisconsin and Iowa. I don’t know what the under is for this game but anything higher than 23 is probably not low enough. Jonathan Taylor will look to improve his Heisman resume as Wisconsin hopes to move back up in the rankings.

Texas has been a very disappointing team this year after being expected to make some noise in the Big 12. Texas has fallen out of the rankings, but they are an angry football team looking to ruin other teams’ winning ways. Expect a shootout against Kansas State where the Longhorns come out on top.

Matt Rhule continues to showcase his brilliance after surviving last week, but on the road against TCU will be another challenge for his young group. If the Golden Bears can squeak this one out, they could find themselves in the Top 10 after 11 weeks of the season.
