Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay a way from on November 17 in NBA Daily Fantasy Sports on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s daily fantasy NBA lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

6 p.m. ET: Denver at Memphis, Washington at Orlando
7 p.m. ET: Golden State at New Orleans
9:30 p.m. ET: Atlanta at LA Lakers

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

LeBron James (vs ATL – $10,700 on DK; $11,800 on FD): LeBron remains on LeBron level and even though it’s a high salary, he’s giving you at least 50 fantasy points a night. There’s nothing wrong with a guaranteed 50 when you can find value elsewhere to offset LeBron’s high salary. Take and build around him with confidence.

Bradley Beal (at ORL – $9,600 on DK; $9,800 on FD): The Magic are one of the best against the position but I’m also not doubting Beal at this point. He’s a scoring machine and the best player on the court in the game. Beal will do a bit of everything and carry the offense into a competitive outing. He should end up as a top scorer on the night.

Trae Young (at LAL – $9,400 on DK; $10,400 on FD): It’s a back to back for the Hawks and the Lakers have a tough defense. But Trae is playing outstanding and guys like him know how to raise their game when they go up against the best player in the league and inside Staples Center. Trae won’t succumb to the pressure, but instead will elevate.

Jrue Holiday (vs GS – $8,400 on DK; $9,400 on FD): Holiday will go off against the Warriors without question. This will be a high scoring affair given the state of these two defense and Holiday is unquestionably the best player on the floor between these two teams. Expect a big scoring output along with assists and rebounds.

Jonas Valanciunas (vs DEN – $6,400 on DK; $7,200 on FD): Valanciunas can be inconsistent but the Nuggets are weak against the position and Valanciunas is always a double-double threat. Expect easy points against a non-caring Jokic and plenty of rebounds in a game that will have enough missed shots between the two teams.
