DeVante Parker should be your top wide receiver add off waivers
By John Buhler
With fantasy football season hitting the home stretch, if you have to pick up a wide receiver off waivers, it has to be DeVante Parker of the Miami Dolphins.
Week 12 of the 2019 NFL season is upon us. That means there are only a few weeks left of fantasy football season. The playoffs are approaching here shortly and now is the time to bolster your roster with any and every player that can help you. If you need to pick up a receiver off the waiver wire, DeVante Parker of the Miami Dolphins might end up being your guy.
The Fantasy Footballers agree and believe that you should have picked up Parker a long time ago. That being said, he’s only owned in 60 percent of fantasy football leagues, so if he’s still out there on the waiver wire, act swiftly and pick up the talented Miami wideout.

The thought is that he and Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick have built up quite the rapport in recent weeks. Miami has a few wins under its belt and doesn’t look to be in line to end up with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. This team is playing hard for rookie head coach Brian Flores and players like Parker are really rounding into form this year.
If we look at the Dolphins’ six remaining games, as crazy as it sounds, they have a shot at winning four or five of them. Miami has to play the Cleveland Browns on the road this week and still has to play three of the worst teams in football in the New York Jets again, the New York Giants and the awful Cincinnati Bengals. Miami has a shot at getting to 6-10 this year if you can believe that.
The Dolphin’s two other games this year probably aren’t winnable in the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots. However, the Eagles aren’t a serious playoff contender this year and the Dolphins always seem to give their AFC East rival Patriots a good game.
With another offseason worth of evaluations for the Dolphins to make, look for players like Parker to continue to give their all in what was a lost season for Miami. It doesn’t matter how you win in fantasy football, as long as you win. It doesn’t have to be pretty, but Parker can be the guy that can help you get over the top at the wide receiver position or in the flex.
