Ohio State playing host to Penn State in Week 13 was the undeniable choice for ESPN but did the College GameDay signs in Columbus bring the heat?

No matter how impressive the Ohio State Buckeyes have been throughout the 2019 season, everyone has been waiting for their final two games of the year. And naturally, that meant that ESPN’s College GameDay was going to head to Columbus in Week 13 ahead of a top 10 clash with the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Ranked No. 2 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, Ohio State is on the inside track to be in the top four comfortable. And they should be. Ryan Day’s Buckeyes have been perhaps the most dominant force in college football and they get Chase Young back on Saturday after serving a two-game suspension.

Penn State, on the other hand, has a tough loss to Minnesota on their ledger this season and have faltered more recently as well. However, James Franklin’s Nittany Lions sport a talented defense and Sean Clifford and the offense have flashed elite potential. Thus, all this makes for a prime College GameDay setting on Saturday.
