Dallas Mavericks

Luka, Luka and more Luka

Luka Doncic is an offense unto himself and the sole reason the Dallas Mavericks rank first in offensive rating. He’s damn near averaging a triple-double at 30.1 points, 10.0 rebounds and 9.5 assists per game on .485/.329/.823 shooting splits. What he’s doing at age 20 is literally unprecedented.

Doncic is not perfect. He’s committing 4.6 turnovers per game, he’s not the best defender and his 3-point efficiency isn’t quite as infallible as his silky step-back would lead you to believe.

With that being said, he’s making history on a nightly basis in just his second year in the NBA. He’s a joy to watch, extremely hard to dislike and is playing at an MVP level before being able to legally purchase alcohol in the United States. As Kristaps Porzingis struggles to shake the rust off, Doncic has already proven himself as the spiritual successor to Dirk Nowitzki‘s throne.
