Todd Gurley is a must-start vs. Arizona Cardinals Week 13

After the Los Angeles Rams played terribly last week vs. the Baltimore Ravens, look for Rams running back Todd Gurley to go off vs. the Arizona Cardinals.

In a primetime clash on Monday Night Football in Week 12, the Los Angeles Rams completely embarrassed themselves. Los Angeles was hosting the Baltimore Ravens and let this one slip away from them fast due to one self-inflicted penalty after another. It was a brutal loss for the Rams, but they should bounce back on Sunday afternoon on the road vs. the Arizona Cardinals.

This will be the first of two annual meetings between Los Angeles and Arizona this season. Though the Cardinals have been solid offensively, The Fantasy Footballers think the Rams offense could have a field day against the Cardinals defense. Jason Moore believes in the Rams so much this week that he has Los Angeles running back Todd Gurley as his start of the week.

Since the Rams are not likely to be playing from behind all game, this could mean significantly more carriers for the former All-Pro running back out of the University of Georgia. Though the guys think Rams quarterback Jared Goff could have a bounce-back game too against the Cardinals, the Rams offense starts and ends with running the ball with conviction with Gurley.

Keep in mind that Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury largely stems from the same coaching tree of Rams head coach Sean McVay. Though the Rams offense has been exposed to some degree this season, McVay is clearly the more proven head coach in this matchup in Glendale, thus giving the Rams a pretty decent chance of taking this one on the road in the Valley of the Sun.

Another thing to keep in mind is that The Fantasy Footballers are from Arizona and root for the Cardinals, so they know a ton about their favorite team, as well as the rival teams in Arizona’s division, such as the Rams, the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks. So with the guys saying the Rams are going to go off offensively, you can bank that as a guarantee Sunday.

Overall, this has not been a banner year for the Rams. They probably are not going to reach the NFC playoffs for the third straight season and they have no shot of winning the division for the third year in a row. That being said, the Rams were humiliated in primetime last week. Halfway decent teams like the Rams find ways to bounce back after poor showings on a national stage.
