On this week’s Dynamite, Chris Jericho had the “Chris Jericho’s Thanksgiving Thank You Celebrashon for Le Champion” to open the show. The episode was bookended by “Le Champion” defending his title in the main event. DDP presents the first Dynamite Diamond ring. Dark also saw a title match in its main event. Fans were even treated to Orange Cassidy in a turkey costume.

See how the rankings pan out for the week of November 27.

Men’s Division

No. 1: Chris Jericho (last week: 1)

Dynamite was all about “Le Champion” from his celebrashon to his title defense. During the celebrashon, he received numerous gifts from his Inner Circle cronies, including a goat named “Chris JeriGOAT”. Jericho’s father, the legendary NY Ranger, Ted Irvine was a surprise guest. He gifted the stable with personalized Rangers jerseys. The show ended with Jericho retaining the AEW World Championship over Scorpio Sky.

No. 2: Kenny Omega (last week: unranked)

Omega had two matches this week. On Dark, he defended his AAA Mega Championship against Jack Evans. This was his first title defense on US soil. “The Best Bout Machine” successfully defended his title. The following night on Dynamite, Omega had his rematch with PAC. PAC defeated Omega in their first matchup in the Sears Centre at All Out. Omega struggled with his identity following the match. In an excellent rematch, Omega bested PAC to redeem himself.

No. 3- MJF  (last week: tied for 5)

The self-proclaimed “Salt of the Earth” faced Adam “Hangman” Page for the first Dynamite Diamond ring. MJF pokes Page in the eye. WARDLOW interferes on MJF’s behalf when the ref wasn’t looking. While Page is distracted by WARDLOW, MJF uses the CrossRhodes to pin Page and win the Dynamite Diamond ring.

No. 4- Cody (last week: unranked)

Cody returned to the ring for the first time since being officially cleared after Full Gear. He faced local Chicago wrestler, Matt Knicks. Cody hit a cutter off second rope followed by Figure Four to win.

No. 5- Trent (last week: ranked with tag teams)

Trent had a singles match against Pentagon, Jr. on Dark. He surprised Pentagon by kicking out of a Canadian Destroyer and reversed it into inside cradle. After Pentagon picks Trent up, Trent is able to reverse the move and pin his opponent. Next week, Trent will take on Pentagon’s tag team partner, Rey Fenix.

No. 6 – Scorpio Sky (last week: 8)

Scorpio Sky attempted to become the first double champion when he challenged Jericho for the AEW World Championship. Sky handed “Le Champion” his first loss in AEW several weeks ago when he pinned him while defending his tag title. Sky came up short, but was impressive against the champion.

No. 7- Jack Evans (last week: unranked)

Jack Evans is mostly known to the AEW crowd as one half of the Hybrid 2. He had his first shot at a singles title when he faced Omega for the AAA Mega Championship. When he was in AAA, he never wrestled for that title. Evans may have gotten the loss, but this was a huge match for him and for AEW fans to see what he can do as a singles competitor. He went toe-to-toe with one of the best and held his own.

No. 8-Hangman Page (last week: tied for 5)

Adam “Hangman” Page competed against MJF to try to become the inaugural Dynamite Diamond ring winner. Page held most of the offense to begin the match. He nearly won the match when he had MJF pinned, only for WARDLOW to put MJF’s foot on the rope. Page grabbed WARDLOW’s tie, but is hit in the face. MJF took advantage and got the win. Page is now 0-2 in inaugural matches.

No. 9- PAC (last week: unranked)

PAC was victorious over Omega in the first meeting at All Out, which also took place at the Sears Centre. PAC hit the Falcon Arrow and also kicked out of the One-Winged Angel. After a series of counters, PAC ultimately lost the match.

No. 10- Jon Moxley (last week: 3)

Although Moxley didn’t have a match, he showed up after Jericho’s win. He stared “Le Champion” down from the crowd and challenged Jericho for his title.

Women’s Division

Although RIHO didn’t compete this week, she remains 8-2 overall and maintains the best record in the women’s division.

No. 2- Awesome Kong (Last week: unranked)

No. 3 — Shanna (last week: unranked)

AEW fans are introduced to Shanna on the Dark segment, “Undesirable to Undeniable”. She then faced Big Swole. Shanna hits Swole with a neck breaker. Swole is dancing when Shanna takes offense and hits her with an elbow. Shanna earns a victory with a dragon suplex.

No. 4 — Emi Sakura (last week: unranked)

Emi tagged with Bea Priestley against her protege Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander. Emi uses her mic as weapon and is used as a weapon herself against her own partner. Emi picks up the win for her team with assistance from Priestley.

No. 5 — Bea Priestley (last week: unranked)

Priestley had a hard time in this match, but was able to make the save for her team. She hit Kris Statlander with Sakura’s mic stand allowing her teammate to take advantage and pin Statlander for the win.

No. 6 – Hikaru Shida (last week: 2)

Shida may have been on the losing end of her tag match on Dynamite, but she was impressive against her former teacher, Sakura. She even hit the Falcon Arrow on Priestley. Shida looks to put the loss behind her to focus on RIHO after becoming the No. 1 contender last week.

No. 7- Kris Statlander (last week: 4)

Despite losing this week, Statlander continues to impress. She put Sakura in an Oklahoma Roll and later in the match, put her in the electric chair. It’s been rumored that she has signed with AEW; she would be a huge asset to the division.

No. 8 — Big Swole (last week: 5)

AEW fans finally got to hear from Swole via promo this week. She has a Swole mentality, which helps her in and out the ring as she battles Crohn’s disease. Swole dominated Shanna early in the match and even kicked out after a knee strike, but it wasn’t enough to get a victory.

No. 9- Allie (last week: unranked)

Allie retaliated against Brandi Rhodes by sending The Butcher & The Blade after Cody. “The Blade” is Braxton Sutter and husband of Allie. It’ll be interesting to see what Allie has in store for both Brandi and The Butcher and The Blade.

No. 10- Leva Bates (unranked)

Bates never really stood a chance against Awesome Kong, but she showed up and that’s half the battle.

Tag Team Division

No. 1 — SCU (last week: 1)

SCU was focused more on Scorpio Sky challenging for the AEW World Championship. Kazarian and Daniels were very supportive of the possibility of Sky holding two AEW titles. Kaz and CD were dressed as marching band members during “Le Champion’s Celebrashon” and attacked the Inner Circle for attacking Justin Roberts.

No. 2 —Best Friends (last week: 2)

Best Friends with Orange Cassidy in tow took on the Lucha Bros. Dressed in a turkey suit, Cassidy dives on Lucha Brothers for taking out Best Friends on the way to the ramp. Chuckie T follows it up with Sliced Bread. Cassidy distracted the brothers long enough for Trent to hit Fenix with a crunchie to secure a victory.

No. 3 — Lucha Bros. (last week: unranked)

Pentagon had a singles match with Trent on Dark; unfortunately he lost. The next night, he and his brother took on Trent and his partner, Chuckie T. Before the bell rang, they attacked their opponents from behind. They paid for their actions when Orange Cassidy dove on them from the top rope. Pentagon nearly got the win with a Canadian Destroyer. Cassidy interfered once again and cost them the match.

No.4 — The Butcher & The Blade (last week: unranked)

The Butcher & The Blade made a statement by attacking Cody from behind in their first AEW appearance. What else will the duo do on Allie’s behalf? Fun fact: “The Butcher” is Andy Williams, the guitarist for Every Time I Die.

No. 5 —Proud-n-Powerful (last week: 5)

Santana & Ortiz didn’t have match, but took part in the celebration for Jericho. They presented him with a basket of goodies, including “a little bit of a .40”. They also took part in beating up ring announcer Justin Roberts before being attacked by 2/3 of SCU. Later in the show, they attacked Dustin Rhodes alongside Sammy Guevara while Rhodes was being interviewed.
