Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay a way from on December 1 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

5 p.m. ET: San Antonio at Detroit, Oklahoma City at New Orleans
6 p.m. ET: Golden State at Orlando, Utah at Portland

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Brandon Ingram (vs OKC – $9,200 on DK; $9,000 on FD): Ingram has been consistent at worst, but expect more out of him in this matchup. The Thunder aren’t as good on the road and we know Ingram has big time scoring ability. It’s a slow night as far as top end names go and I certainly believe Ingram can end up as the top scorer on the night.

Fred VanVleet (vs UTA – $7,400 on DK; $8,200 on FD): I was torn between Siakam and VanVleet in this matchup but I believe VanVleet will end up offering more value. He’s the more consistent option due to the lower salary. Siakam has the higher ceiling but VanVleet can get hot at any time. The matchup is tough both at the position and overall.

Danilo Gallinari (at NO – $7,100 on DK; $7,300 on FD): Chris Paul hasn’t been delivering strong numbers and SGA is too inconsistent at the moment. Gallinari is going to get the shots and you should trust him against this defense. He’s been up-and-down in recent games but there’s plenty to like given this matchup.

Bojan Bogdanovic (at TOR – $6,800 on DK; $6,900 on FD): Bogdanovic has played extremely well as of late and the Raptors, despite having a strong overall defense, are not good against the position in terms of fantasy. Bogdanovic has been one of the stronger fantasy players based on value this season.

Evan Fournier (vs GS – $6,400 on DK; $6,300 on FD): There’s some good value on Orlando given the matchup. Fournier is the stronger option over Gordon, though Gordon may end up having the higher overall ceiling. Fournier is the more consistent option of the two and can do a bit of everything when he’s at his best. This is a good matchup for him to be at his best.
