Duds

Blake Griffin (vs SA – $8,000 on DK; $7,400 on FD): You’re still not getting enough value for Griffin. His minutes are slightly better as of late, which is the good news. And the Spurs are still a mess, but Drummond is the better high salary option and there is some good value on the Pistons who are more trustworthy than Griffin, such as Kennard.

Rudy Gobert (at TOR – $7,800 on DK; $8,400 on FD): Gobert has at least been consistent in hitting value, unlike Griffin, but this is a tough matchup and he’s unlikely to get you more than value, if he even hits that. There are simply better options below him with easier matchups to take advantage of.

Chris Paul (at NO – $7,200 on DK; $7,600 on FD): Paul’s assist numbers are just going to be down this year and he’s not a volume scorer, making him a tough take as a fantasy player. The Pelicans don’t offer much on defense, but I like Gallinari more for his consistency and SGA more for his ceiling.

Steven Adams (at NO – $5,800 on DK; $6,600 on FD): Adams has been strong in three of his last four games and just dominated the Pelicans. But I’ve also seen the inconsistency from Adams and being on the road, this just feels like a game where he doesn’t deliver. His overall road numbers are not good, though the matchup could buck that. He’s a risk.

Alec Burks (at ORL – $5,800 on DK; $6,200 on FD): Burks has potential but he’s an inconsistent player and this is a tough matchup as the Magic rate extremely well against the position. Burks is far too inconsistent for my liking and his ceiling isn’t high enough in this game for me either.
