15. Arizona

Arizona continues its undefeated run this season after three wins this week over Pepperdine, Penn, and Wake Forest. The win over Wake Forest coming last night in a 73-66 victory. Dylan Smith and Chase Jeter were both big in the victory over the Demon Deacons as Smith scored 20 points to lead the team and Jeter scored 17 while also grabbing nine rebounds. The now 9-0 Wildcats will have a date with ranked opponent Baylor this coming week.

14. Memphis

The loss of James Wiseman in what will now be a significant part of the season will surely hurt the Tigers at some point, but as of right now they are still going strong at 6-1 on the season. Memphis has back-to-back victories over Ole Miss and NC State, two quality opponents with their only loss coming to Oregon. Fellow freshman Precious Achiuwa is helping to pick up the slack with Wiseman out, averaging 15 points and nine rebounds per game.

13. Seton Hall

In an odd series of events after matching up with Iowa State in the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis, the Pirates and Cyclones will match up once again on Sunday. Seton Hall got the better of the Cyclones in the first matchup with an 84-76 victory. Senior guard Myles Powell has really been playing well thus far this season and is carrying the Pirates through a tough non-conference schedule. He’s averaging 23.4 points per game, that’s good for No. 9 in the country thus far.

12. Kentucky

After the infamous loss to Evansville, the Wildcats have rattled off four wins in a row, all against unimpressive opponents, however. The latest victory came over UAB in a 69-58 win. Tyrese Maxey is the stud freshman for them, averaging 14.7 points per game but junior Nick Richards is also making an impact for Kentucky. He is averaging 14.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season and is providing a veteran presence on an always youthful Kentucky squad.

11. Duke

In the second shocking upset of the No. 1 team in the country this season, Duke fell to Stephen F. Austin at home ending their long streak of non-conference victories inside Cameron Indoor. It was one of the best finishes to a college basketball game in recent memory, with Stephen F. Austin racing to beat the buzzer and get the massive upset. The Blue Devils did rebound however with a win over Winthrop at home. With Coach K and the talent on the roster, I would still bet on Duke being a No. 1 seed come tournament time.
