DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Trae Young ($10,500): I thought Young was cheap on Saturday, but with the $1,600 price hike, he looks a little expensive here. I get it. There aren’t a lot of stars on this slate. Young has hit 5x value even at this price in four of the last five games. Playing the Warriors should also help his output. Okay, maybe he isn’t so overpriced after all.

Malcolm Brogdon ($8,100): Brogdon’s price has made value virtually impossible for him to attain. Brogdon has been above 35 DraftKings points in every game since his return, but also under 40. I mentioned on Saturday that Brogdon has little to no upside. The same holds true here. The higher price just means you’re not getting quite what you need out of him.

Honorable Mention:

Ricky Rubio ($6,700): Rubio finally looked healthy for the first time in about three weeks on Friday. He put up 37.25 DraftKings points on Dallas, hit half of his shots, dished out almost ten assists, and may have played more than 33 minutes had he not fouled out. If Rubio is back to full health, he’s cheap for what he can do. There is good upside here.

Terry Rozier ($6,700): Kemba who? The Hornets are getting very strong guard play out of Rozier and Graham. They don’t really miss Kemba at all. It’s still the same lack of production around the guards that prevent this team from being good. The difference is that these two guards aren’t having off games like Kemba did. Rozier has at least 36 DraftKings points in four of the last five games. I like this matchup with Phoenix a little less than recent ones, but Rozier should still hit in the low 30’s tonight.

Dark Horse:

Tyus Jones ($5,600): Well, at least we got Jones at a good price for one game. Jones is still a decent option since he put up 31 DraftKings points last night. I do worry about the floor though. He did that against a spotty Minnesota defense and Jones still played only 25 minutes and he wasn’t even the best value on the team.

De’Anthony Melton ($3,400): That would be Melton, who played the other 23 minutes that Jones wasn’t on the court and had an even bigger night with 35.75 DraftKings points. The telling thing about Melton’s line was that he only made two of the ten shots he took. Melton had seven rebounds and eight assists. Perhaps Melton’s line was the outlier, but for this price, it’s worth seeing if he can do it again.

Dennis Smith ($3,200): Ntilikina looks doubtful, so DSJ may finally be given run tonight. Smith is one of those guys that seemed to be in the team’s long term plans as part of the Porzingis trade, but has fallen victim to the asinine rotations of a tanking team. Yes, the Knicks are tanking in November.

Smith played 38 minutes yesterday, putting up 32.75 DraftKings points for a team that desperately needs production. That means he likely wont make it off the bench tonight because that’s the Knicks’ way. Those morons will probably run Trier, Dotson, and Ellington if Ntilikina can’t go.
