Need fantasy wide receivers? Add James Washington, Anthony Miller

If you are in need of an add at wide receiver for your fantasy league’s playoffs, try picking up James Washington or Anthony Miller this week.

In fantasy football, the playoffs are starting either this week or next. These games are crucial, so you have to set your best lineups of the year if you want to win your league. If you are in need of a wide receiver who is available in most leagues, two guys to seriously consider entering Week 14 are James Washington of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Anthony Miller of the Chicago Bears.

The Fantasy Footballers are big fans of Washington this week, as he will be taking on the lowly Arizona Cardinals in Glendale on Sunday. Though Washington was a favorite target in college of Mason Rudolph, the Steelers quarterback has been benched in favor of Devlin Hodges. Hodges has put together quite the rapport with Washington in their limited action together.

As for Miller, he has been a favorite target of Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky of late. Though we may not trust Trubisky in a big spot against a top-10 defense in the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football, if he is going to play well, it will because he has been able to get the ball to Miller early and often in this primetime affair.

It is interesting that these two former collegiate standouts at Oklahoma State and Memphis are starting to finally put it all together in the professional ranks. Both Washington and Miller were All-Americans, with Washington winning the Fred Biletnikoff Award as a member of the Pokes receiving corps.

In short, these two wide receivers have the talent to elevate the play of sub-par quarterbacks. While they aren’t yet No. 1 wide receiving options at the professional level, how these two end their seasons will go a long way in helping them get off to a fast start in 2020.

Overall, you are better served to go with Washington this week over Miller for a few reasons. One, Chicago has an earlier matchup. Two, Trubisky has struggled against elite pass defenses. Three, the Hodges-to-Washington connection looks to be very real. Maybe these two can help get the Steelers to the AFC playoffs in what will be one of the most improbable runs in recent memory.
