New Year’s Day is synonymous with watching college football games, most notably the Rose Bowl. Here is the 2020 New Year’s Six bowl schedule.

Championship Week delivered some near-upsets but in the end, the favorites won, although a change at the top spot is in store. LSU won the SEC Championship Game with a dominant showing vs. Georgia while Ohio State had a sluggish first half before scoring 27 unanswered points vs. Wisconsin to win the Big Ten Championship Game. That difference is what I project will result in LSU getting the top spot and the Peach Bowl while Ohio State will get the Fiesta Bowl and a date with reigning champion Clemson. The big prize for winning the No. 1 seed is getting No. 4 Oklahoma who almost blew a lead to Baylor’s third-string quarterback in the Big 12 Championship Game.

The College Football Playoff semifinals begin on Saturday, Dec. 28 with the Peach Bowl and Fiesta Bowl. The Peach Bowl will likely kick off first at 4 p.m. ET with the Fiesta Bowl following roughly four hours later around 8 p.m. ET.

Before the New Year’s Day onslaught of games tests your binge-watching skills again, the Orange Bowl kicks off on Monday, Dec. 30 from Miami, Florida.

New Year’s Day sees the Citrus Bowl, Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl on the schedule with a staggered start so fans should be able to watch all in their entirety without flipping through channels.
