Benfica face Zenit St. Petersburg at Estadio da Luz on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

In the final game of the Champions League group stage, Benfica host Zenit St. Petersburg in the Champions League group stage. Group G is one of the more interesting groups going into the final game of the group stage. Only RB Leipzig, who are first in the group with 10 points, know that they will advance to the Champions League knockout stage. Benfica enter the final game last in the group with four points. While the Portuguese side cannot advance to the Champions League knockout stage, they can advance to the Europa League. Zenit are guaranteed a spot in either the Champions League or Europa League knockout stage if they can pick up a point against the Eagles.

Benfica will only advance to the Europa Leauge knockout stage if they beat Zenit. If the Eagles defeat Zenit and Leipzig defeat Lyon, Benfica will finish third. However, if Lyon defeat Leipzig, Benfica will have to beat Zenit by three goals to finish ahead of the Russia club. If the Eagles do not beat Zenit, they will finish last in the group. The Lisbon club is first in their domestic league but has struggled in the Champions League. In the first game against Zenit, Benfica lost 3-1. If Benfica are going to beat their Russian counterparts, they will need strong performances from Pizzi and Carlos Vinicius. The duo has combined for 28 goals and 12 assists in all competitions for Benfica this season.

For Zenit to reach the Champions League knockout stage for the first time since 2016, they will need to get a better result than Lyon. The Russian club holds the head to head tiebreaker over Lyon but will need some help from RB Leipzig. If Zenit and Lyon both draw, Zenit will advance. If both win, Lyon and Leipzig will advance to the Champions League and the Russian side will drop down to the Europa League. As long as Zenit do not lose to Benfica by three or more goals, they will be assured of a spot in at least the Europa League. Manager Sergey Semak will go into Lisbon and aim for the win, hoping that Leipzig can take points from Lyon. Artem Dzyuba scored in the first game against Benfica and will play a key role in the return game. Dzyuba leads the club with 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season.
