2020 NFL mock draft: Tua Tagovailoa lands with Chargers
By Brad Weiss
The Tennessee Titans made the move at quarterback from Marcus Mariota to Ryan Tannehill a few weeks ago, and the results have been astounding. Tannehill has led the Titans to six wins in his seven starts, and into the playoff picture. For the Titans, they may have found their franchise quarterback, as Tannehill is playing at an incredible level right now.
Looking at this team as a whole, they are peaking at the right time, and if they get into the playoffs, nobody is going to want to play them. They can not only pass, but they have an elite rusher in Derrick Henry, as well as a defense that can go out and get stops when they need to.
It is on that side of the ball, however, that I believe the Titans should utilize their first round pick next April. One area of need is up front along the defensive line, and a versatile defensive lineman like Javon Kinlaw would give them a guy who can stuff the middle, as well as come off the edge and get after the quarterback.
The Jacksonville Jaguars hold two first round picks in 2020, that after trading away star cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams a few months back. Since trading away Ramsey, the Jaguars have been on a steady downward trend, and you have to think that changes are coming within the organization.
While most of the talent has centered around Ramsey, as well as the quarterback spot, the Jaguars have been porous all over this roster. With the Rams pick in 2020, the Jaguars should look to replace Ramsey, adding a talent like Florida’s C.J. Henderson with the No. 20 overall selection next April.
Henderson is the kind of cornerback who can start right away, and in terms of coverage, he may be the best of this entire class. He has soft hands, can go up and get it, and for the Jaguars, he would be a nice piece to add to A.J. Bouye at the cornerback spot moving forward.
