2020 NFL mock draft: Tua Tagovailoa lands with Chargers

The Philadelphia Eagles were nearly shocked by the New York Giants on Monday night, as the Eli Manning-led Giants got out to a 17-3 half time lead, and the boo birds were out inside Lincoln Financial. Fortunately for the Eagles, quarterback Carson Wentz led his team back, throwing for over 300 yards to wide receivers that most people had never heard of.
While Wentz has had his head-scratching moments this season, he is still considered a good, young quarterback, but he needs more weapons. While Philadelphia could certainly add a cornerback in the first round next April, if CeeDee Lamb falls to No. 13, he is going to be very hard to pass up.
Lamb is the kind of breakaway player this Eagles team needs, especially with an aging DeSean Jackson likely coming to the end of his career. Zach Ertz is a great tight end, and the Eagles have some good complimentary wideouts, but Lamb would be an absolute gem of a player for Wentz and company for the long haul.
The Oakland Raiders once sat at 6-4, and with games against the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, and Jacksonville Jaguars on the horizon, many believed they could go to the playoffs in their final season in the Bay Area. After losing to the Jets, they still had a chance to take over first in the AFC West with a win against the Chiefs in Week 13, but lost that one as well.
This past weekend, they were absolutely shredded by Ryan Tannehill and the aforementioned Titans, as their defense showed they have a tremendous amount of holes. With their first of two first round picks in 2020, they should look to add the best defensive player available, and in this mock draft, that would be Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons.
Simmons is a versatile player, who can not only play outside linebacker, but also the safety spots, two areas where the Raiders need help. Remember, they will be the Las Vegas Raiders come draft day, and will be hosting the draft festivities, so Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden cannot miss with these selections.
