If you have to pick up a running back off waivers to help you win your fantasy league, DeAndre Washington of the Oakland Raiders just might be your guy.

There are no excuses left to be had at this point. We are officially in the fantasy football playoffs in all leagues. Week 15 marks every league’s semifinals, where you need just one more fraction of a point over your competitor to get to the fantasy football championship. Let’s say you need to bolster your running back corps. What about picking up DeAndre Washington off waivers?

Washington is readily available in most leagues and has a favorable matchup this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Sadly, this will be the Raiders’ final game in Oakland. The Silver and Black play their final two games of the 2019 NFL season on the road against division rivals. This will be a very, very, very emotional game for the Raiders, so good luck on Sunday, Jacksonville.

The Fantasy Footballers believe that if you are going to pick up a running back off waivers this week, Washington has to be your No. 1 target. The reason for this is he’ll get touches in an expanded role and is adept at both running and catching balls out of the backfield. If Oakland is going to beat Jacksonville in its Bay Area finally, then it will have to be via the ground game.

Like Oakland, Jacksonville has nothing to play for other than pride at this point. The Jaguars may want to see what they have with Gardner Minshew the rest of the way so they can figure out whether they need to draft a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft. As for the Raiders, they need to get right after losing three straight games in AFC play. Their fans deserve a final win in Oakland.

Jacksonville may want to bounce back after a bad game in Week 14 too, as the Jaguars were ripped to shreds by the Los Angeles Chargers at home. However, this will be the Raiders’ day in the sun. If the Raiders can’t win this game or at least make it competitive, then major, major changes will be necessary to this roster. There is not a better game to be all-in on the Raiders.

So if the Raiders do what they should do for their fans and win the last damn game in Oakland, they will likely be blowing the Jaguars out of the water. If that is the case, then expect Washington and the rest of the Silver and Black to bleed out the clock one last time in front of the Bay Area faithful. Raiders all day in this game. Just win, baby!
