This week’s AEW Power Rankings feature champions on top and a closer look at who is on the rise in the men’s, women’s and tag team divisions.

On this week’s Dynamite, Chris Jericho invited someone to join the Inner Circle. Big Swole told her story on Dark and it resonated with fans. MJF delivered a scathing promo on Cody. Both shows had great main events. One main event resulted in a new No.1 contender for the Tag Team championships.

Let’s how all of this impacts this week’s rankings.

Men’s Division

No. 1 — Chris Jericho (last week: 1)

“Le Champion” has said repeatedly that he doesn’t want to wrestle Jon Moxley anymore this year. After Mox demolished his opponent in minutes, the AEW World Champion invited him to join the Inner Circle.

Later in the episode, Jericho and Jack Hager joined JR on commentary. After Sammy Guevara lost, the duo left their commentary duties to beat up Jurassic Express.

No. 2 — Jon Moxley (last week: 2)

Moxley continued his winning ways as he very quickly defeated Alex Reynolds to open Dynamite. Immediately after, Jericho invited him to join the Inner Circle. Jericho told him to take his time making a decision.

No. 3 — Kenny Omega (last week: unranked)

Omega pulled double duty this week, wrestling on both shows. In the Dark main event, he faced off against Kip Sabian. Even with the distractions of Penelope, Omega was victorious.

On Dynamite, Omega teamed up with Adam “Hangman” Page (who is on sabbatical from The Elite) to take on Sabian and Shawn Spears. Omega dominated most of match for his team. After hitting a V-Trigger, Page tagged himself in to get the win.

No. 4 — Adam “Hangman” Page (last week: unranked)

After sitting at home drinking whiskey last week, Hangman returned to action with Omega. He was taken out of action early, but tagged himself in and nailed Sabian with a buckshot lariat to get the win for his team.

No. 5 — Luchasaurus (last week: ranked with tag teams)

Luchasaurus squared off against Sammy Guevara. Luchasaurus controlled the beginning of the match, including slamming Guevara into the apron. Luchasaurus landed a tombstone flapjack to beat Guevara. Jericho & Hager left commentary to attack Jurassic Express.

No. 6 — Scorpio Sky (last week: ranked with tag teams)

Scorpio Sky opened Dark in a match against Peter Avalon and Jimmy Havoc. Sky started off hot early, hitting Havoc with a big boot. Even with his opponents joining forces against him, Sky was able to take advantage once Avalon turned on Havoc with a tope con hilo. Sky also kept Havoc from using a staple gun. Sky pinned Avalon for the win.

No. 7– Kip Sabian (last week: unranked)

Sabian also pulled double duty this week. While he was unsuccessful in winning, he got to showcase his talent including swinging neckbreakers, hurricanranas and DDTs. Penelope proved to be a good adversary for “Superbad.”

No. 8 — Shawn Spears  (last week: 6)

Spears teamed up with Sabian and things were going well for a while. During the match, the lights went out. When they came up, Spears’s nemesis, Joey Janela, was at the top of the ramp with a tied up Tully Blanchard. Spears abandoned Sabian to go after “The Bad Boy.”

No. 9 — QT Marshall (last week: unranked)

QT was handpicked by MJF to be Cody’s partner against The Butcher & The Blade. Most thought that Marshall wouldn’t be much help. His own partner tweeted that his dog would be a better choice. Marshall proved everyone wrong and held his own. His opponents kept him isolated from Cody, but he used the CrossRhodes and nearly got the victory. Fans chanted “Cody’s partner” when the match started, and by the end of the match they were chanting his name.

No. 10 — Cody (last week: 9)

Cody didn’t seem too confident with his tag team partner, but was proven wrong. Cody spent a portion of the match on the apron as Marshall was isolated from him. Unfortunately, Cody lost. A defeated Cody was sitting against the barricade afterwards when Darby Allin came down to offer his hand.
