Houston Texans: Week 14, vs. Denver Broncos

The Houston Texans have been a maddeningly inconsistent team all year. Following a big win over the Patriots in Week 13 and a first place showdown with the Titans looming the following Sunday, a home date with the Denver Broncos loomed as a potential trap game.

Houston fell right into the trap, falling behind the Broncos 31-3 in a game they would go on to lose 38-24. The fact it was at home it was even worse, and that is the kind of game that could really haunt Houston if they need a win in Week 17.

Tennessee Titans: Week 3, at Jacksonville Jaguars

The emergence of the Tennessee Titans as a playoff threat behind Ryan Tannehill is one of the most shocking developments in football this season, and it is definitely a fun story. The Titans still have two shots at the Texans over the next three weeks, but they would love to have another divisional win, which they blew back in Week 3.

The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Titans 20-7 on Thursday Night Football, with Gardner Minshew running an efficient offense while the Jacksonville defense sacked Marcus Mariota nine times. If the Texans and Titans split their meetings, the next tiebreaker would come down to divisional record, which the Titans would drop thanks to this defeat.
