NFC North

Green Bay Packers: Week 9, at Los Angeles Chargers

The Packers are in command of the NFC North, but they could be in play for a first round bye if they didn’t lay an egg at the Dignity Healthy Sports Park in Week 9. Considering the opponent and venue, the Packers will regret dropping this game when they have to go to New Orleans or the NFC West champion in the Divisional Round.

Minnesota Vikings: Week 4, at Chicago Bears

The NFC North is theoretically still a race, but the Minnesota Vikings are behind the eight ball thanks to a pair of early season division losses. One of them came at Green Bay, which is understandable, but the other in Chicago is going to be the killer.

The Bears shut down Dalvin Cook in the contest, forcing Kirk Cousins to carry the mail and he couldn’t do much of anything, resulting in a 16-6 defeat. Even if the Vikings beat the Packers next week, that loss in Chicago will require they need extra help to get past Green Bay in the division.
