National Signing Day predictions for top 30 uncommitted recruits
- High School: Rancho Cucamonga (Rancho Cucamonga, CA)
- Composite Ranking: No. 81, No. 2 pro-style QB
After D.J. Uiagelelei, the next ranked pro-style quarterback is C.J. Stroud out of Rancho Cucamonga. The near 6-foot-3 quarterback has an absolute cannon and is more than just a pocket quarterback as well.
Stroud has displayed the awareness to leave the pocket when necessary. Having the versatility that he does will make him an exciting quarterback recruit for one of the top programs in the nation to work with.
He just received a visit from Ohio State coach Ryan Day and also visited the Buckeyes. The experts seem to think that Stroud to Columbus is a home run and a sure thing despite the Buckeyes already having one other commit.
The work the Buckeyes did with Justin Fields this year should give an indication of what they can continue to do moving forward with highly touted recruits.
Prediction: Ohio State
- High School: Folsom (Folsom, CA)
- Composite Ranking: No. 78, No. 2 APB
Running the ball, catching the ball, it doesn’t matter for Daniyel Ngata. The all-purpose back is a home run hitter in a variety of ways and has a skill set that should flourish in college football.
At 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, he might not be the type of running back that carries it up the gut 20 times a game, but a good coach will find a way to get him into space and let him do what he does best and make defenders miss.
The Folsom, California product just received an in-home visit from the Arizona State contingent of Herm Edwards and Antonio Pierce. They’re also after his teammate and wide receiver Elijah Badger.
The Sun Devils behind Pierce have worked tirelessly to make great strides in California. After the success of Eno Benjamin with the program, Ngata would be a tremendous fit to make big things happen in Tempe.
Prediction: Arizona State
