Matchday 18 of the Premier League is almost upon us with some great fixtures. Here are five bold predictions for all the action.

The very busy holiday Premier League schedule starts this weekend when teams will play their first of three games in the space of a week. There are some brilliant games to look forward to with Everton hosting Arsenal in Saturday’s early kickoff and Leicester traveling to the Etihad to face Manchester City in the later match.

Jose Mourinho welcomes his old club, Chelsea, to the new Tottenham stadium and struggling Watford host Manchester United on Sunday. Here are five bold predictions for all the action.

5. Dominic Calvert-Lewin scores to help Everton beat Arsenal

The early kick-off on Saturday sees struggling Arsenal travel to rejuvenated Everton. The Gunners are on a torrid run and their form hasn’t improved since Freddie Ljunberg took over as interim coach. Arsenal are set to announce that their former player, Mikel Arteta, will become their new manager and he could be in the stand to watch his new side before taking over from Ljunberg.

It might not be pleasant viewing for the Spaniard considering the turnaround that Everton have had since Duncan Ferguson took the interim coaching job at Goodison Park. The Scottish manager has brought new life to a squad that looked flat under the guidance of Marco Silva.

In their past three matches, they’ve beaten Chelsea, got a point at Old Trafford and lost to Leicester on penalties in the League Cup after a comeback from 2-0 down. The Toffees could also have a big managerial announcement of their own coming, as it appears that Carlo Ancelotti could be heading to Merseyside.

That’s a huge statement from a club that’s been desperate to break into the Premier League’s top four. Bringing in Ancelotti can only enhance those chances, perhaps not this season but definitely for next.

The managerial shake-up at both clubs should make this game even more entertaining than it already sounds. Both sides have suspect defensive lines and exciting attacking players which should lead to plenty of goals.

Both sets of players could be playing in front of their future manager for the first time as well which should add some extra energy to the game. Everton have a feel-good factor right now under Duncan Ferguson and this will be enough to take them past the Gunners.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will open the scoring before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang nets the equalizer. Moise Kean will come onto net his first goal for the club, to give the Toffees a 2-1 win.
