Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker finally came out, and we all have a lot of questions. For starters, who uses a lightsaber in the film? Let’s find out.

WARNING! This story contains major spoilers for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

A lot happened during Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, so let’s recap. If you haven’t seen the film and you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t read any further. This article contains massive spoilers about the film.

The Rise of Skywalker is actually pretty heavy on its use of lightsabers. It could even be described as the most lightsaber-heavy film in the franchise. There are so many battles, but who are they between?

Let’s start with the easy ones. Of course, Rey uses a lightsaber. We actually get to see her use multiple different lightsabers during the course of the movie.

And of course, Kylo Ren (or Ben Solo) gets to use a lightsaber (or lightsabers?) as well. This much is obvious. The two of them also engage in a lot of combat.

It’s not much, but Finn does hold a lightsaber during The Rise of Skywalker. He definitely doesn’t battle anyone with it, and barely even swings it, but he does get to hold one. Not sure if that entirely counts, but he does technically use it.

On the more unexpected side, we get to see both Luke and Leia use lightsabers during this film. However, don’t get your hopes up. It’s a flashback. Although, it’s still incredibly cool to see the two of them in the past using their sabers.

That’s about it, there are a lot of fighting scenes, but they’re mostly between Rey and Kylo Ren, so there aren’t many other people who actually get to use a lightsaber.
