NFL playoffs schedule: Wild Card weekend and more

The NFL regular season is over, and the playoffs are just around the corner. Here is the schedule for the NFL Wild Card weekend and beyond.

After 256 games, the 2019 NFL season is over and done with, and that means the best time of the year for football fans is just a week away.

This years playoffs will have no shortage of interesting matchups, especially in the wildcard round. The AFC experienced a late shake up in Week 17, as the 12-4 New England Patriots will play on Wild Card weekend for the first time since 2009 as they host the 9-7 Tennessee Titans.

The 10-6 Houston Texans won the AFC South again and get to host the 10-6 Buffalo Bills. The high-flying Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs will await the winners in the Divisional round.

In the NFC, either the 13-3 New Orleans Saints or Seattle Seahawks will host the 10-6 Minnesota Vikings. The 9-7 Eagles stole the NFC North late in the season, and will host either the San Francisco 49ers or Seattle Seahawks. The winner of the NFC West and Green Bay Packers got the first-round byes and will wait for the winners.

The official playoff schedule is not available yet, but information will be updated as it is made available.

Wild Card weekend will take place on Jan. 4 and 5. One AFC and NFC game on the 4th, and the same on the 5th.

AFC

New England Patriots vs. Tennessee Titans

Houston Texans vs. Buffalo Bills

  • Date and time: Jan. 4, 4:35 ET
  • Location: NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas

NFC

New Orleans Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings

  • Date and time: Jan. 5, 1:05 ET
  • Location: Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Seattle Seahawks

  • Date and time: Jan. 5, 4:40 ET
  • Location: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
