Here’s all the information you need for the Jan. 3, 2020 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

WWE kicks off 2020 with a bang when they head to Memphis for the first Friday Night SmackDown of the new decade. Let’s take a look at what we can expect this week when things go live on the USA Network.

Last week, Daniel Bryan survived a triple threat match to earn a shot at the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble. And while that means a shot at retribution against The Fiend, what can we expect this week? Will we see Bray Wyatt in person, or will the mind games against Bryan continue?

Sasha Banks added fuel to an already hot fire last week when she and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defeated Lacey Evans and Dana Brooke. The disrespect from Banks towards Evans and her family has been the center of things, and you can bet we’ve not heard the last of the Sassy Southern Belle on this.

With the WWE Royal Rumble coming up this month, we’re likely to start seeing people throw their names into the hat for the event. The winner of the Rumble receives a guaranteed title shot at WrestleMania, and we’ve seen some of the biggest surprises come out of the Rumble over the years. There have been rumblings of how the 30-man roster (and 30-women match as well) will be divided up, with the possibility of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT each getting 10 superstars into the mix. Who will step up for team blue and try to earn a shot at the Universal Championship?
