DraftKings NBA picks January 7: Go by the Booker

We have a solid six game DraftKings NBA slate tonight. There isn’t as much star power as last night, but there are still plenty of options with the Lakers, Timberwolves, Blazers, and Raptors in action with enough value from the Knicks, Memphis, and Brooklyn. First, we need to check on the injuries.

Out: Kyrie Irving (shoulder), Pascal Siakam (groin), Fred VanVleet (hamstring), Jusuf Nurkic (leg), Blake Griffin (knee), Richaun Holmes (shoulder), Marvin Bagley (foot), Danilo Gallinari (calf), Norman Powell (shoulder), Bogdan Bogdanovic (ankle), Luke Kennard (knee), Marcus Morris (neck), Marc Gasol (hamstring), Markieff Morris (foot), Nerlens Noel (ankle), Kevin Porter (knee), Larry Nance (knee), Jake Layman (toe), Zach Collins (shoulder), Matt Thomas (finger), Dewan Hernandez (ankle), Reggie Jackson (back), Rodney Hood (Achilles), Skal Labissiere (knee), DeMarcus Cousins (knee), Andre Roberson (knee), Kevin Durant (Achilles), Dylan Windler (leg), Khyri Thomas (foot), Andre Iguodala (personal), Frank Kaminsky (knee).

Questionable: LeBron James (illness), Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), CJ McCollum (illness), Tristan Thompson (illness), Tony Snell (illness), Dennis Smith (oblique).

I would expect Payton to be back after the birth of his daughter here. However, since the same is in L.A., Payton may just meet up with the team when they get back east. LeBron is sick, but they sent him home in hopes he will play tonight. The King says he’s playing and we can usually take him at his word. Avery Bradley also says that he’s playing. We’ll see. Tristan Thompson is now as probable as LeBron.

Heavy exposure to Kleber and underwhelming Boston players made sure I donated despite being all in on McRae. r3turn3r too it down with 343 DraftKings points. He built with Luka, Jokic, and Rozier and got big value out of Ball, Thad Young, Ariza, and Theis. He even survived Eric Paschall.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
