DraftKings NBA picks January 11: Giannis is upon us
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA centers:
Best Bets:
Andre Drummond ($10,100): Drummond has 159 DraftKings points in 105 minutes against the Bulls this year. Drummond is fresh off dropping back to back 60’s on the Cavs. The only thing preventing that here would be a blowout. Drummond has back to back 20/20 games. Don’t be shocked if he does it again.
Nikola Jokic ($9,700): Is two games enough to believe in Jokic again? I have a hard time believing, especially considering those two games were against Atlanta and Dallas. You may not have to believe. Denver gets Cleveland tonight. Another 50+ DraftKings point game should be in store.
Honorable Mention:
Al Horford ($6,700): Horford put up 42 DraftKings points in the first game with the Sixers Embiid-less. Actually, Horford was about the only guy to see a significant boost. Dallas has been enigmatic up front to say the least. They have had some really good and really bad games defensively. Did it have something to do with playing Boston? Maybe, but I’ll err on the side of Horford here again.
Enes Kanter ($5,600): Kanter has been on a downswing lately, which is somewhat frightening considering his limited minutes. This is based solely on the matchup with the Pelicans. Is it bad enough for Kanter to get back on track? Maybe, but that’s a big maybe.
Dark Horses:
Kyle O’Quinn ($4,600): Mike Scott started, but he was mostly ineffective. It was O’Quinn in 26 minutes off the bench that moved the fantasy needle in this one. O’Quinn had 27.5 DraftKings points and most of it had nothing to do with scoring. That says a lot for his floor. I really like O’Quinn at this price.
Jaxson Hayes ($3,800): Hayes was getting more run anyway even before Favors left last night’s game. Hayes has 77.5 DraftKings points in just 53 minutes over the last two games. I know this is a tough matchup, but at this price, I don’t care. He has a legit shot at 8x value.
