4. Chicago Bears

It’ll be two seasons since the Chicago Bears have had a first-round pick (because of the Khalil Mack trade). The Bears will have a first-round pick in 2021, and they should target Trevor Lawrence with that pick.

After a 12-4 season and a division title, the Bears looked ready to make the jump in 2019 with Mitchell Trubisky at the helm. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. The Bears (and Trubisky) struggled to find footing in 2019, finishing at 8-8 and leaving the fanbase questioning Trubisky’s ability and even head coach Matt Nagy’s.

After their season ended, general manager Ryan Pace came out to say that Trubisky is still their guy going forward and that they will head into 2020 with him as the starter. It will be interesting to see if they add veteran help to back him up.

The 2020 season will be a tough road, especially if they get the same Trubisky. That means that the Bears could find themselves in a prime position to have a top pick in the 2021 draft. It might not take much to move up and select Lawrence with the pick. Lawrence would be a game-changer in Chicago and could turn the tide in the division for years to come.
