DraftKings NBA picks January 19: The Joker’s wild

The NBA is a great celebration for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday with 28 of the 30 teams in action tomorrow. An unfortunate byproduct of that celebration are two garbage DraftKings NBA slates on either side of it. There are only two games today and one lone game on Tuesday night. Yuck! At least the injury reports will be short….

Out: Jamal Murray (ankle), Victor Oladipo (knee), Gary Harris (groin), Paul Millsap (knee), Justise Winslow (back), Rudy Gay (illness), Bol Bol (foot).

Questionable: Dejounte Murray (illness), Jeremy Lamb (hip), Tyler Herro (knee).

There is a very slim chance that Gay will play. All three of the questionables could change the slate, so keep an eye on those.

I was well over 300 on the early slate yesterday by stacking the Pelicans-Clippers game. I didn’t have nearly enough exposure to Celtics and awful games from Gordon and Gasol held me down across the board. I hit big with Svi, Love, and Drummond, but it wasn’t quite enough since the cash line was once again above 300.

ault34 got the takedown with 398.5 DraftKings points. He built with Booker, LaVine, Tatum, and Ayton and got huge value out of KCP, Paschall, and Marcus Smart. He even survived a poor game by Danuel House.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
