2020 NFL mock draft: Miami Dolphins trade up for Tua Tagovailoa
By Brad Weiss
The miracle run that was for the Tennessee Titans came to a close on Championship Sunday, as they ran out of gas against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Titans went into the playoffs as the No. 6 seed in the AFC, and then proceed to win in both New England and Baltimore, knocking off the NO. 3 and No. 1 seeds, respectively.
As they enter the offseason, there is a lot of work to be done in terms of the roster, as both quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry will both be free agents. These two players were keys to the Titans run in 2019, and you have to think the team will do everything they can to bring them both back for 2020.
When it comes to the draft, the Titans have to get better on the other side of the ball, and would be wise to bring in Virginia cornerback Bryce Hall with the No. 29 overall pick. Hall is a tremendous cover corner with great speed, and with the Titans, he would join a young cornerback room that needs depth immediately.
The Green Bay Packers went into San Francisco looking to clinch another Super Bowl spot for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has hoisted the Lombardi Trophy only once in his career. However, the 49ers got out to a hot start and never looked back, leaving the Packers with more questions than answers heading into the offseason.
Rodgers will be back under center in 2020, and despite the fact that people are starting to write him off, I expect another good season out of him. With the No. 30 overall pick in April, the Packers should look to bring in some protection for their veteran signal-caller, and Austin Jackson from USC appears slated for the first round.
Jackson is one of the more versatile offensive linemen in this draft class, and I believe he could come in and start right away on this Packers offensive line. Rodgers is no spring chicken, and the Packers need to make sure they not only get him more protection this offseason, but also some help on the outside at wide receiver.
