Most points forced (531), most passing touchdowns (37) and rushing yards (3,296), as well as second-most total yards (6,521) and rushing scores (21). Led by likely MVP winner Lamar Jackson, the Ravens had the best offense in the NFL this year.

Therefore, it’s hard to find an area on this side of the ball in which the team needs to get better. Well, here is one: a big, outside wide receiver.

Mark Andrews led the team in receiving yards (852) and touchdowns (10). Rookie Marquise “Hollywood” Brown was the team’s leading wide receiver with 584 yards and seven scores.

Brown and fellow wide receiver Willie Snead were productive in the endzone with 12 touchdown receptions combined, but they only had 923 receiving yards between the two. Brown was great out of the slot, and Snead is a good second option, but A.J. Green would give Jackson a big target who can make plays on the outside.

Green missed the entire 2019 season due to injury. He also only played in nine games in 2018, and he is now 31-years old. But as mentioned above, Green wouldn’t be asked to be the top-five receiver he was when he was in his mid 20’s. Rather, he would offer Jackson a move-the-chains, redzone threat at the receiver position.

Much like the Clowney situation, signing Green would basically make the rich richer. The Ravens already have a juggernaut offense. Add Green, and you’re getting rid of as many “ifs” as possible. Not to mention we saw how hard it was for Jackson to get consistency from his receivers and tight ends in the playoff loss to the Titans.
