DraftKings NBA picks January 29: Kyrie plays for Kobe

We have a solid six-game Wednesday for our DraftKings NBA tournaments. Oladipo returns, albeit on a minutes limit. Kyrie is slated to play his first game since the passing of his mentor, Kobe Bryant. Westbrook is back after a day off. Now let’s see who’s not playing.

The injury reports have changed dramatically in the couple of hours before tip over the last couple of days. That could be the case for the rest of the week as players and friends try to cope with loss. I will update this as often as I can.

Out: Lauri Markkanen (pelvis), LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb), Richaun Holmes (shoulder), Luke Kennard (knee), Wendell Carter (ankle), RJ Barrett (ankle), Otto Porter (foot), Jusuf Nurkic (leg), Zach Collins (shoulder), Daniel Gafford (thumb), Andre Iguodala (personal), Bruno Caboclo (knee), Grayson Allen (hip), Rodney Hood (Achilles), Skal Labissiere (knee), Nene (hip), Gerald Green (foot), Kevin Durant (Achilles), Blake Griffin (knee), Khyri Thomas (foot), Andre Roberson (ankle), Turd Ferguson (personal).

Questionable: James Harden (thigh), Andre Drummond (wrist), Clint Capela (heel), Marvin Bagley (foot), Malcolm Brogdon (concussion), Myles Turner (illness), Jae Crowder (knee), Tony Snell (illness), Abdel Nader (ankle).

Rose was probable for most of the day Monday before sitting, so I would expect him to be in action.

Like everyone else, I went heavy on Bledsoe, Ilyasova, Middleton, Beal, and DiVincenzo when it was learned that Giannis was out. I was also heavy on Jokic. Four of my five lineups cashed, but only three placed with the cash line an absurd 315.5. My best lineup was 350, so I came out a bit ahead.

joebob12345 got the takedown with 398.25 DraftKings points. He built with Middleton, Bledsoe, and Beal, hit with D-Russ, and got massive value out of Thomas Bryant and Troy Brown.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
